Introduction

Controlled environments dedicated to research store highly valuable samples and reagents (both scientifically and financially). These environments rely on energy supplies (electricity and other services) and are vulnerable to environmental factors (heat, humidity, etc.).

Examples of controlled environments: Liquid nitrogen tank, ultra-low temperature freezer, -20°C freezer, cold room, ambient temperature for specialized instruments, incubator, etc.

The controlled environments monitoring program aims to:

  • Implement a real-time monitoring program for controlled environments
  • Define alert thresholds to respond to unexpected events
  • Establish a response chain in case of an alert
