Small AntechamberThe smaller antechamber is operated manually: - Fill slowly Antechamber With Nitrogen (Turn Slowly The Valve Knob From EVACUATE To REFILL).
- Place Your Material Into Antechamber.
- Cycle EVACUATE/REFILL 3 Times (At least 10 min per cycle). Depending on what is being moved into Glovebox, different levels of precaution are required when evacuating and refilling the antechamber.
- POWDERS: Gently evacuate and refill the chamber to avoid losing fine or fluffy powders.
- LIQUIDS:* *If packed under vacuum, or packed under a dry gas such as Nitrogen, can be moved in the glovebox As Is. If packed under air, when bringing bottled chemicals; First loosen the cap and remove th etape, then evacuate the antechamber as soon as they are in the Glovebox, thighten the cap.
- LIGHT FLYABLE MATERIALS: should be clipped during the transfer in the antechamber.
- ALL METAL TOOLS AND GLASSWARES should be heated in an oven prior to enter the Glovebox in order to remove all the adsorbed moisture. Put them in th eantechamber while they are still warm.
- POROUS MATERIALS (Weight paper, Kimwipes, etc.) Should be evacuated for extended periods of time (Overnight to a day in the main antechamber).
- Once materials has been cycled appropriately, fill antechamber with Nitrogen then isolate antechambers from glovebox (Close position for the small antechamber).
- Wear left hand glove and stick your hand in the glovebox; Open the antechamber door by rotating the lid; unload your material, then close the door.
- With the right hand turn the valve knob to evacuate so that the antechamber stays under vacuum.
Main AntechamberHandmode Operation: The antechamber evacuation and refilling are started manualy from the panel screen. Automatic control: The evacuation and refilling cycles are completely automatic. That's the default mode. - Place your material into antechamber.
- Make sure the automatic mode is selected for the EVACUATE/REFILL.
- Press EVACUATE/START AUTOM button to start the cycle (the button will turn from red to green once the process is finished).
- Depending on what is being moved into glovebox, different levels of precaution are required when evacuating and refilling the antechamber.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE THAT ANTECHAMBER HAS BEEN EVACUATED FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE YOU REFILL. |
